Charmaine and Mike’s Wedding

The fantastic Empire Retreat in Yallingup was the location for Mike and Charmaine’s wedding day.Charmaine is a real live-wire and along with her sister Tamara they kept everyone around them entertained and laughing which is always a joy on a wedding photo shoot. The weather leading up to the Big Day had been miserable but the Gods took mercy on us and allowed us to complete the coverage before the skies opened up once more (phew!!!).  From the perfect wedding day down south Mike and Charmaine then left for their dream honeymoon in France, now that’s the life! The girls had their makeup done by Julie Angel and Emma Dickson conducted the ceremony. Thanks as always to the wonderful Clare and staff at Empire Retreat where nothing is too much trouble.

Robert and Vivien’s Wedding

Sometimes you simply get lucky, with both your bride and groom and the weather and that was absolutely the case with Vivien and Robert. I really enjoyed working with them both and it makes your life easy as a photographer when you are shooting someone as classically stylish as Vivien. Rob quickly warmed to the task at hand and as you can see we were very soon laughing and enjoying the beautiful surrounds of Wise Winery. We were a little squeezed for time but when you get amazing light at the end of the day as we did on the beach at Eagle Bay the pictures come together very nicely indeed:)

Ballooning in the Avon Valley

We were given a fantastic gift from our beautiful friends Sonia and Joe to share a balloon flight with the Castro Clan over the Avon Valley and what a wonderful experience it was. The day before the flight nasty weather chased us all the way from the south west to Northam, the wind howled and the rain tumbled down. But when we opened our eyes at 5am the next morning the wind had gone to play somewhere else and the stars were the only things overhead, it was perfect:) If you have never been ballooning we would definitely recommend giving it a go, it is a hands on, interactive family experience and a sensational way to view the world. We were so taken with the fun of it all we are now laying down plans to balloon in different parts of the big beautiful world. Thanks so much again Son and Joe and we look forward to our next exciting adventure!! Love Steve, Steph and Daniel.

Janine and Dom’s Wedding

It has been a pleasure to get to know Janine and Dom, from the first day they came to the studio we hit it off. We laughed and laughed the day of their pre-wedding portrait which was a great sign of the good things to come. The day of the wedding dawned a bit gloomy with the threat of rain, but there was nothing that would dampen the spirits of this couple. After visiting the girls at Mum and Dads house where the girls had their makeup done by the wonderful Brooke Elsegood from Shine Makeup, it was off to the ceremony at the beautiful historic Our Lady of Lourdes Dardanup Catholic Church. The ceremony was conducted by Father Tony who has been a friend of the family for many years. We had a ball with the bridal party at a number of locations including Ferguson Farmstay and finishing down a country lane watching a fabulous sunset. I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as I enjoyed photographing them. Steph. Please click here if you would like to get back to the Lloyd-Smith Photography Website.

Yanny and Danielle’s Wedding

We had a fantastic time with Yanny and Danielle sharing in their very special day. We started at the beautiful grounds of Chandeliers on Abbey in Yallingup and then onto the ceremony at St Marys in Busselton. These two had planned a very intimate day with a small number of special guests to share in the party. Keeping the numbers down didn’t limit the fun that we had or the fantastic shots that we took, this is one very handsome couple, and I don’t say that to all the guys Yanny!  Pics by Steph Lloyd-Smith.
